Dr. Hecker prides himself as a 'country boy' who grew up on a working farm located in the central southern lower peninsula of Michigan. Dr. Hecker, after his formal college education, sought a very unusual path of spending much of his adult life living in and exploring the wilds of the Sierra Nevada Mts. Many years Doc Hecker researched herbs and other natural plant life, to be used as natural medicines and mined for gold.
